Kert (Estonia) and Jakobe (Belgium) are an upcoming hand to hand duo, that are currently studying at Academy for Circus and Performance Art (ACaPa) in Tilburg, Holland. Kert and Jakobe started working together in September 2012.
They are both circus performers with relevant stage experience. Ambitious to step into an international collective or company as performers, they are eager to work in different environments and develop their skills further. Kert & Jakobe have worked in co-production with other artists to combine hand to hand technique with other disciplines. They have developed and keep on refining their own style of movement, using elements of dance and theatre and combining disciplines to give the audience a wonderful experience. Still Kert and Jakobe have both feet on the ground: they choose to stay real, natural and present. They are always looking for more opportunities to learn and develop their skills. Kert and Jakobe have already created several acts of around 7 to 8 minutes. But now for the first time they will make a 20 to 30 minute act. The show is inspired by Eugène Ionesco’s play “Rhinoceros”.
